Elevated Temperatures in Liquid Chromatography — The Benefits, The Theory, and the Practical Considerations
Elevated temperatures separations offer significant benefits, such as lower column back pressures, faster separations, the ability to use column temperatures that exceed the boiling point of typical solvents. Also, at higher temperatures, water behaves more like an organic solvent and thus separations using more aqueous mobile phases can mimic those using more organic modifiers. This three-part article covers these and other benefits, explains the theory behind high-temperature separations, and outlines the practical considerations of implementing this approach.

Adopting Dynamic and Lean Gas Chromatography Operations that Do More with Less
Tuesday, January 19, 2013
11:00 AM EST; 8:00 AM PST
In this web seminar, we will illustrate some innovative ways to reduce the total number of GC systems used to accomplish the same level of productivity, share the existing components for maximum efficiency, and quickly redistribute application workload as needed — all with minimal capital investment. We will also show how instrument downtime for maintenance activities, whether planned or unplanned, can basically be reduced to zero. Join us for this discussion to evolve your lab into a dynamic and lean operation with fewer systems and lower operating costs.
