This talk will address some of the key hurdles to the routine use of nanoLC-MS in the analytical laboratory. Background on the preparation of different nanocolumn stationary phases, plumbing, and connectivity and the variety of commercially available column formats and interfaces will be discussed. In addition, the challenges associated with routine nanoscale LC-MS will be highlighted as well as suggested solutions. The talk will conclude with several applications using nanoscale LC-MS for the analysis of small molecules, proteomics, and oligonucleotides.
