Characterization of monoclonal antibodies by Size Exclusion Chromatography

Purity and stability of two monoclonal antibodies (mAb) preparations were investigated using the Agilent 1260 Bio-inert LC System in combination with the Agilent BioSEC columns. Superior Resolution of variants from the main antibody peak was achieved and compared to the results obtained with a competitive column. |

Chiral LC/MS/MS Method Development of Stereoisomeric Pharmaceutical Compounds

209 PCB-Congeners using LECO Pegasus GCxGC-TOFMS

The analysis of 209 individual PCB congeners using the LECO Pegasus 4D GCxGC-TOFMS instrument with ChromaTOF software is described here. Retention times in the 1st and 2nd dimensions were recorded for all 209 PCB congeners and are listed (including all critical pairs). Separation and identification of critical pairs was performed primarily in the 2nd dimension, highlighting the power of the comprehensive LECO Pegasus 4D GCxGC-TOFMS technique. |

Determination of Phosphorous by Ion Chromatography

A heart-cutting technique is used to take a small amount of phosphate from the separation of the sample that contains a large amount of sulfate and placed on a concentrator. Dioxin in Drinking Water by One Step Solid Phase Extraction

Dioxins are a group of polyhalogenated compounds which occur as by-products in the manufacture of organochlorides, in the incineration of chlorine-containing substances such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride), in the bleaching of paper, and from natural sources such as volcanoes and forest fires. As known carcinogens, dioxins and dioxin like compounds have been linked to developmental abnormalities, nervous system, pathology, diabetes, thyroid disorders and damage to the immune system. For these reasons, it is becoming increasingly important to determine dioxin free drinking water and food sources. This application note demonstrates the use of the FMS automated One Step SPE system in water samples. |
Simplified SPE Approach for SAMHSA’s Low Cutoff Drugs of Abuse Panel

Utilizing a single Solid Phase Extraction (SPE), Strata™-X-Drug B, sorbent and only 3 extraction methods, 11 drugs from 6 different Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) regulated drug classes were effectively extracted and analyzed by LC/MS and GC/MS. The extraction resulted in consistent, high recoveries of each drug analyzed that conformed to the new lower cutoff levels that SAMHSA has recently enforced. |
