What is an oil cleansing balm?
Oil cleansing balms are similar to cold creams in terms of consistency, says Dr. Draelos. They are commonly used to remove waterproof cosmetics, stage makeup, and surgical camouflaging cosmetics. In Europe, they employ a liquefying technique. Learn more in this month’s column.

Mineral oil, castor oil, jojoba oil and other cleansing oils are making a comeback as make-up, or sunscreen, removers. Dr. Draelos explains how oils work as cleansers.
